Trigger point therapy was first popularized by Dr Janet Travell, and described by Dr Travell and Dr. Simons, it has since evolved to include use biotherapeutic products such as antihomotoxic remedies, saline solution, dextrose or hyalruonic acid as alternatives to cortisone.
